
Youth and Teen Cooking Classes & Nutrition Club
This program is designed to educate and empower youth and teens, ages 6 to 18, on the importance of healthy eating and overall wellness. Through interactive and engaging activities, participants will learn practical cooking skills, develop healthier eating habits, and gain a better understanding of nutrition in a fun and supportive environment.
Program Highlights:
Hands-On Cooking Classes:
Participants will attend cooking classes, where they’ll prepare simple, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients. Each session will focus on a different recipe, teaching basic kitchen safety, meal preparation techniques, and nutrition facts.Fruit and Vegetable Taste Test Game (Blindfolded):
A fun and educational game where participants are blindfolded and challenged to identify different fruits and vegetables by taste, smell, or texture. This activity encourages openness to new foods and helps build a positive relationship with healthy eating.Take-Home Recipes:
Participants will receive easy-to-follow recipes that they can recreate at home with their families. These recipes are designed to be affordable, healthy, and require minimal cooking equipment.Certificate of Completion:
At the end of the course, all participants will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their participation, effort, and new knowledge in healthy cooking and wellness.
